Sara A/Latif Omer has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Their most recent role is as the Sales Director for the MENA & Turkey region at Ivalua since August 2019. Prior to this, they held various positions at CIPS - The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, including serving as a Member of the Board of Trustees from November 2016 to October 2022 and as the Congress Representative for Europe & Middle East from August 2013 to November 2016.

Before joining CIPS, Sara worked at JAGGAER, where they held multiple roles such as Account Director from March 2015 to July 2019, Account Principal from January 2014 to March 2015, Senior Manager of Consulting Services from May 2011 to January 2014, and Manager of Consulting Services from May 2010 to May 2011.

Prior to that, they worked as a self-employed Supply Chain Management Consultant from March 2008 to January 2010. Sara also gained experience as a Senior Procurement Officer for MRO & Projects and Buyer for Raw Materials at DAL Food from August 2003 to March 2008.

Earlier in their career, they worked as a Supply Assistant at UNICEF from January 2001 to August 2003 and as a Sales Engineer for Lubricants at ExxonMobil from April 1999 to January 2001.

Sara A/Latif Omer, FCIPS, LLM has an extensive education history. Sara A/Latif received their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Khartoum, where they studied from 1993 to 1998. Following their undergraduate degree, Sara pursued further education in Facility Management and earned a Masters Certificate from Michigan State University in 2000-2001.

In 2005-2007, Sara enrolled in the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) and obtained their MCIPS degree, specializing in Purchasing, Procurement/Acquisitions, and Contracts Management.

Continuing their journey in the field of procurement and supply, Sara completed an Executive Program in Public Procurement Law & Policy, earning a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Nottingham. Sara A/Latif attended the prestigious university from 2019 to 2022.

Additionally, Sara has obtained several certifications in their career. In 2007, they received their MCIPS degree from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply, and in 2014, they became a Fellow Member (FCIPS) of the same institution.
