Shaun Booyens

Shaun Booyens is a seasoned professional in project management and engineering with extensive experience in the mining and construction sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Ivanhoe Mines since March 2022, Shaun previously held the position of Project Delivery Manager at Wood from January 2018 to April 2022. Shaun's experience at Hatch includes roles as Engineering Manager in the Project Delivery Group, Electrical Consultant, and Electrical Hazardous Area Consultant from August 2012 to September 2017, as well as Senior Lead Engineer in Mining & Metals from January 2007 to July 2011. Prior to these roles, Shaun worked as a Construction Manager at Wade Walker from January 2003 to December 2006. Shaun holds multiple degrees from the University of Johannesburg, including qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, and Project Engineering Management.
