Vas Rao

Vas Rao is an accomplished finance and operations leader with extensive experience in the banking and financial services sectors. Notably, Rao held the position of Vice President and Head of Shared Services at CIBC, where leadership in finance transformation led to significant improvements in efficiency and cost savings. Rao's prior roles at CIBC included Senior Financial Analyst and Senior Director, where responsibilities encompassed delivering critical accounting changes and managing executive committees. At BMO Financial Group, Rao served as CIO and Head of North American Finance Technology, further demonstrating expertise in technology-driven financial services. In addition to a strategic advisory role at Deloitte focused on regulatory program transformation, Rao currently serves as Vice President and Head of Insurance Operations at ivari Canada, leading operations and transformation initiatives. Educationally, Rao holds an MBA in Finance and Strategic Management from York University's Schulich School of Business, a Master’s Certificate in Financial Services Leadership, and a BSc. (Honours) in Mathematics from Dalhousie University.
