Andrew Coates

Andrew Coates, CPA, CA, is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as a Partner at EY since May 2020, Andrew has progressed from Associate Partner to Senior Manager during tenure at the firm. Additionally, Andrew has contributed as an Instructor in the Graduate Diploma in Accounting Program at Ivey Business School, where involvement began in May 2018. Prior experience includes Senior Manager at Grant Thornton LLP (Canada) and Finance & Operations Manager at Action Auto Leasing & Gallery Inc. Early career highlights also feature the role of Accounting Manager at Rubicon Project and Assurance Manager during two separate tenures at EY. Andrew holds an HBA in Finance & Accounting from Ivey Business School, attained in 2007, and completed early education at St. John's-Ravenscourt School.
