Lana Skien

Lana Skien is a highly skilled laboratory supervisor at IVF Australia since September 2025, with a strong background in embryology gained from over two decades of experience in the field. Prior to this role, Lana served as a senior embryologist at Genea from March 2010 to September 2025, where responsibilities included advanced embryology techniques such as ICSI, PICSI, and IVF insemination, alongside embryo biopsy and vitrification. Earlier experience includes working as an embryologist at Fertility First from April 2004 to December 2009, focusing on clinical embryology and diagnostic andrology, and as a trainee embryologist at IVF Australia from April 2002 to March 2005. Lana holds an honors degree in Biotechnology from the University of Wollongong, completed in 2001.
