Jens Kasten has an extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Jens started their career as a Tutor at WWU Münster in 2005 and also worked as a Software Developer there from 2007 to 2008. Jens then joined Zuse Institute Berlin as a Researcher (PhD candidate) from 2008 to 2012. After that, they worked at Leipzig University as a Senior Researcher (PostDoc) from 2012 to 2014. In 2015, Jens joined IVU Traffic Technologies as a Senior Systems Engineer. Jens later became a Team Manager from 2016 to 2019 and is currently working as the Head of Development Planning at the company.
Jens Kasten obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, with a minor in Computer Science, from the University of Münster in 2008. Jens continued their education at the Freie Universität Berlin and completed their Doctor rer. nat. (PhD equivalent) in Computer Science in 2012.
