Vondell Coleman

SVP, Operations at IvySys Technologies

As senior vice president of operations, Vondell oversees daily operations at IvySys Technologies, promotes company culture, and sets the strategic goals for growth. He has more than twenty years of technology development leadership experience supporting the defense and intelligence communities.

Since joining IvySys in 2008 as the director of software engineering, he has been dedicated to the company’s efforts to promote national security through the development of custom software solutions for big data analytics, high performance computing, and intelligence processing, exploitation, and dissemination.

Prior to joining IvySys, he spent ten years at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, where he was a supervisor in the Engineering and Advanced Development Group within the National Security Technology Department.

Throughout his career, Vondell has gained extensive experience leading teams in the development of high performance software systems to process signals, exploit characteristics buried within disparate data sets, and provide situational awareness. While developing software for Navy vessel systems, wireless sensor networks, unmanned ISR assets, compute clusters, and web platforms, he has garnered broad subject matter expertise.

Vondell has an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he was a GEM fellow, and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where he was a distinguished Meyerhoff Scholar.
