Ariel Cocciardi

Curriculum Designer at IXL Learning

Ariel Cocciardi has a wide range of work experience in the education field. Ariel began their career as a Program Instructor at Girls Inc. in 2012, where they worked until 2013. In 2013, they also served as a Teacher Intern at Breakthrough Collaborative and a Student Teacher at Amherst Middle School.

In 2013, Ariel worked as a Teacher's Assistant at Southern New Hampshire University and as a Long Term Substitute Math Teacher at Timberlane Regional Middle School.

From 2014 to 2015, they worked at Excel Academy Charter Schools as a STEM Fellow and a Sub-Seperate Math and Science Teacher.

Ariel then joined Student U in 2017 as a Middle School Math Mentor Teacher.

In 2018, they became involved with Maureen Joy Charter School, initially as a 5th Grade Level Leader and a 5th Grade Math Teacher. Later that year, they became the Middle School Math Department Head.

Additionally, Ariel has been working at IXL Learning since 2018. Ariel started as an Associate Curriculum Designer and was later promoted to Curriculum Designer where they currently work.

Ariel Cocciardi began their education at Hollis Brookline High School from 2005 to 2009, where they received their high school degree. Ariel then attended Southern New Hampshire University from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Middle School Mathematics Education. In addition to their degrees, Ariel has additional certifications in Mathematics Teacher Grades 5-8 from the New Hampshire Department of Education and Mathematics Teacher Grades 6-9 from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
