Taylan Demirkaya

Taylan Demirkaya has extensive experience in academia and business mentorship, serving as a University Lecturer in the Business Administration Department at Izmir University of Economics since 2003. Taylan teaches various courses, including Applied Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Marketing Research for Designers, and Corporate Finance. In addition to academic roles, Taylan is actively involved as an investor at Glocalzone and a mentor in several programs, including TÜSİAD Bu Gençlikte İş Var! and Mentors Network Turkey, supporting startups and SMEs. Furthermore, Taylan holds positions with Endeavor Turkey as an advisory board member and leads initiatives at TUBITAK and KOSGEB related to innovation and entrepreneurship. Taylan is also the Izmir Chapter Director for Startup Grind, fostering a global startup community. Educational achievements encompass a PhD in Finance and Innovation from Dokuz Eylul University and an MBA in Finance from Baskent University, along with a bachelor's degree in Finance and Marketing from Bilkent University.
