Valerie van Ogtrop

Valerie van Ogtrop currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Brand Operations at American Eagle Outfitters Inc. since November 2023. With extensive experience at J.Crew since February 2004, Valerie held multiple senior leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer for the Madewell brand and various titles in Planning & Allocation, culminating in the position of Executive Vice President. Additionally, Valerie was the Executive Vice President of Brand Operations at Madewell from August 2019 until November 2023, where responsibilities included strategic planning, P&L management, merchandise planning, and operational oversight. Prior to this, Valerie served as Senior Director of Planning at Gap Inc. from April 1996 to August 2003. Valerie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Statistics from James Madison University between 1985 and 1989.
