Marisol Garcia

Marisol Garcia serves as an Education Specialist for K-12 School Communities at the J. Paul Getty Trust since January 2024. Previous experience includes a brief tenure as a Guest Speaker for Autism Awareness at Bowers Museum in March 2025, and a four-year role as Mobile Museums Manager at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, overseeing educational outreach and program evaluations. Additional roles encompass curriculum development for the ESTEAM Summer Camp, graphic recording as a freelancer, and extensive experience in training and development at Tierra del Sol Foundation, as well as teaching at Los Angeles Valley College. Marisol's foundational experiences include teaching at Belmont Primary School and educational resource development at various museums in New Zealand. Marisol holds a Master of Arts in Cultural Studies & Museum Studies from Claremont Graduate University, a Graduate Diploma in Primary Education from Victoria University of Wellington, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the California Institute of the Arts.
