Steven A. Olsen

Steven A. Olsen joined the Getty in July 2018 as vice president, chief financial officer (CFO), and chief operating officer (COO). An accomplished financial executive, Olsen was the vice chancellor and CFO at UCLA, in addition to treasurer and finance committee chairman of Hammer Museum, before joining the Getty. He also served as chief deputy director for the California Department of General Services, serving as COO for the state’s procurement, real estate and telecommunications services, as well as deputy director of the California Department of Finance. Olsen holds a B.A. in political science and economics from UCLA and a master's degree from UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Public Policy.
