Karl Baum

Karl Baum currently serves as Chief Technology Officer and Head of Engineering at J2 Health, beginning in November 2023. Prior to this role, Karl worked at withco as part of the engineering team, enhancing their underwriting platform and integrating various data sources to improve decision-making for small business property ownership. Karl has extensive experience as VP of Engineering at LiftForward, driving team expansion and the development of financial technology solutions. As Co-Founder and CTO of VTS, Inc., Karl helped scale the company to a Series C stage, making significant strides in commercial real estate asset management. Additional experience includes serving as CTO at WeShop, leading a team in developing targeted consumer offerings, and holding a VP position at Goldman Sachs within their securities lending division. Karl holds a BS in Computer Science from Binghamton University.
