Ilene Foote is an experienced consultant, writer, and coach, currently serving as a freelance consultant at StratCom since March 2004. Foote holds the position of Foundation Grant Officer at JAARS, Inc. since August 2012 and previously worked as a grant writer for The Keystone Foundation, contributing to support services for individuals with developmental and physical challenges in the Greater Chicago area. Additional roles include grant writing for Midwest Palliative & Hospice CareCenter, instructor at CSI, and contractual consulting with Abbott Laboratories. Foote's earlier experience includes serving as Director of Alumni Relations at TIU, where strategic direction was provided for a revitalized alumni program, and as a Development Officer, Linguist, and Literacy Specialist at SIL International from 1984 to 2000, including ten years in Congo, Africa. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in English, Music, and Secondary Education from Trinity International University and a Master of Arts in English and writing from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
