Ryan De Lisle

Head of E-commerce at Jabu

Ryan De Lisle has held a variety of roles in the retail industry since 2001. Ryan began their career as a Store Buyer at The Look & Listen Group, where they were responsible for buying and supply chain management. In 2007, they took on the role of National Buyer, E-commerce & Stores at the same company, managing a multi-million-dollar budget across 27 locations nationally. From 2010 to 2018, they worked at Naspers Limited, where they were Merchandise Manager for Kalahari.com/takealot.com. During this time, they were accountable for turnover and profitability, managing a team of 10 direct reports, and managing partnerships with global brands. In 2016, they co-founded The Mountain Room, a digital content agency specializing in sports, outdoor, and adventure brands. Ryan was responsible for commercial development, achieving profitability in under one year. In 2021, they joined JPC Consulting as a B2B Ecommerce Consultant, and Angry Creative as Business Unit Manager and Client Success Manager. In their current role at JABU, they are the Head of E-commerce.

Ryan De Lisle has a diverse educational background. Ryan obtained an Advanced Diploma in Business Project Management from the University of Cape Town in 2018. Prior to that, they completed a Management Development Programme at Stellenbosch Business School in 2015. Ryan also attended Queensburgh Boys High School from 1996 to 1999. Ryan has also obtained two additional certifications, a E-learning Digital Agriculture from the World Bank Group in 2021, and a Machine Learning Business Professionals from Google in 2020.
