Byron Copeland Sr., MBA, serves as the Manager of Maturation & Innovation at Jack Daniel Distillery since January 2021, focusing on enhancing the whiskey-making process and site management while mentoring participants in the Leadership Acceleration Program. Collaborating closely with Master Distiller Chris Fletcher and Assistant Distiller Lexie Phillips, Byron drives innovation in whiskey maturation. Prior to this role, Byron held various managerial positions at Brown-Forman, including Manager of Operations and Wood Operations Manager at Jack Daniel Cooperage, and served as Senior Manager of Operations at Sabra Dipping Company, LLC. Byron's career began at Target Corporation in 2007, where leadership roles included Operations Manager. A graduate of Morehouse College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management, Byron furthered education by earning three Master of Business Administration degrees from Columbia Southern University.
