Sarah Bento-De Sousa, PharmD RPh has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Sarah started their career as a Sales Representative at Gap Inc. in 2014, focusing on customer service and sales.
In 2017, Sarah joined Shoppers Drug Mart as a Pharmacy Student, where they gained practical experience and knowledge in the field. Sarah continued their education and worked as a Pharmacy Student at Mackenzie Health, Whole Health Pharmacy Partners, and the Canadian Pharmacists Association.
During their time as a student, Sarah also had the opportunity to work as a Student Intern at COMPASS Medical Affairs Consulting Inc., where they gained valuable insights into the consulting side of the pharmaceutical industry.
In 2019, Sarah took on the role of CAPSIL Editor at the Canadian Association of Pharmacy Students and Interns (CAPSI). In this position, they showcased the achievements and challenges of pharmacy students across Canada by releasing three issues of the CAPSIL per year. Sarah also took on additional responsibilities as the Head of the translation committee for CAPSI National, ensuring all documents were bilingual. Sarah utilized their skills in design and editing platforms such as Canva, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop to create and edit graphics and text.
Sarah's experience continued to grow in 2020 when they joined Cover Health as a Triage Manager, where they played a key role in managing and prioritizing patient needs. Sarah later became a Pharmacy Consultant at Jill Health, providing expert advice on pharmaceutical matters.
Currently, Sarah is serving as a Project Manager and Pharmacist Manager at Jack Health, where they utilize their skills and knowledge to oversee projects and optimize pharmacy operations. With their strong background in pharmacy, healthcare consulting, and project management, Sarah is a valuable asset to the organizations they work with.
Sarah Bento-De Sousa, PharmD RPh, completed their education at the University of Toronto from 2016 to 2020. Sarah obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy - PharmD degree in Pharmacy during this period. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2016, they attended the University of Ottawa. Although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for their time at the University of Ottawa, it can be inferred that they pursued coursework or completed prerequisites related to their later study in Pharmacy. In addition, Sarah also obtained a certification in Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED for HCPs from the Canadian Red Cross in January 2019.
