Edith Kao

Edith Kao is a dedicated and accomplished individual currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Virginia, with an expected graduation in 2026. As a Fellow at ColorStack since April 2022, Edith contributes to fostering community engagement and career growth in a nonprofit setting. In addition to this role, Edith serves as a Peer Mentor, supporting engineering students with transitional challenges, particularly in promoting inclusivity for minority students in STEM. As a committee member for the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Edith engages in professional development and diversity advocacy within the engineering department at the University of Virginia. Edith's achievements also include being awarded the Jack Kent Cook College Scholarship, which supports high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds. Upcoming experience as a Software Engineer at Merck involves developing tools to enhance collaborative productivity and professional image.
