Cooke College Scholar at Jack Kent Cooke

Kanyinsola A. is an accomplished individual with a strong background in arts, social justice, and research. Currently serving as a Cooke College Scholar at the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation and a Gates Scholar at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Kanyinsola was selected as one of 300 students from a competitive pool of 36,000. Previous experience includes roles as a Student Researcher at the Guggenheim Museum, where Kanyinsola co-authored a toolkit promoting grassroots environmental justice, and an intern at Monument Lab, focusing on curatorial initiatives in public space. Additional positions at Yale University included serving as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and a Curatorial and Archival Fellow, where Kanyinsola contributed to significant projects on incarceration policy and the 50th anniversary of the Yale Women's Center, respectively. Kanyinsola has also co-organized events for Youth for Black Lives Chicago and Fempowerment Chicago, advocating for young people's empowerment in social justice. With a Bachelor's degree in Art History from Yale University, Kanyinsola's work spans a dedication to community engagement and celebration of diverse artistic practices.
