Ellie Anderson has a diverse range of work experience in library services. Ellie began their career as a Youth Services Intern at Princeton Public Library in 2006 and later worked at Menlo Park Library as a Librarian for a brief period in 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they served as a Teen Librarian at South San Francisco Public Library. Ellie then joined San Mateo County Library, where they held the roles of Children Librarian from 2010 to 2013 and Senior Librarian from 2013 to 2016. Following this, they worked as a Library Manager at Monterey Public Library from 2016 to 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Adult Services at Ashland Branch within Jackson County Library Services since October 2020.

Ellie Anderson's education history includes obtaining a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree from Rutgers University from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English and Theater from Oberlin College from 1999 to 2003.
