James R. Hodge is the President and Chief Investment Officer of Arrowsmith, LLC. He is also a member of the Indiana University Foundation Board of Directors, serving on the investment committee. The Hodge Hall Undergraduate Center was named in honor of his lifelong commitments to Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. Previously, for 29 years, he served as the President and Chief Investment Officer of Permal Asset Management LLC which became a subsidiary of New York Stock Exchange-listed Legg Mason, Inc. Prior to that, he held a number of positions culminating in Director of Cost Accounting during four years of employment at the New York Stock Exchange. He was also the CFO at Biolectron, Inc. a start-up medical products company that supplied orthopedic devices to Bristol-Myers. James R. Hodge is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive status) in the state of New Jersey. He earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. with the highest distinction from Indiana University.
