Deborah Shurberg

Director Of Research Administration And Faculty Affairs at The Jackson Laboratory

Deborah Shurberg has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Deborah started their career as a Scientist at Brookhaven National Laboratory in 1987. After that, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Human Performance Analysis, Corp., where they led research projects for the U.S. Air Force. In 2016, Deborah joined The Jackson Laboratory as a Research Program Administrator, responsible for grant program administration and financial management. Deborah later served as the Assistant to the Senior Vice President for Research and then as the Executive Project Manager. Currently, Deborah holds the position of Director of Research Administration and Faculty Affairs at The Jackson Laboratory.

Deborah Shurberg received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Long Island University/Southampton in 1988. Deborah then went on to complete their Ph.D. in Applied Psychology at Hofstra University in 1995. Prior to their college education, Deborah attended Portland High School, although no specific dates or degrees were provided for this period.
