James G. Keck

James G. Keck, PhD, currently serves as Vice President of Innovation and Product Development at The Jackson Laboratory, where responsibilities include leading a team of over 30 scientists on oncology, inflammatory, and diabetes studies, as well as developing new immuno-oncology models. Previously, James held the position of Vice President of Biology at Telik, Inc., overseeing research in drug identification and mechanism-of-action studies. James co-founded Strata Biosciences as Vice President of Research, where the focus was on gene validation and functional genomics, and has extensive experience in various roles across multiple companies, including Berlex and Tularik, specializing in drug discovery and target validation. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Southern California and a BA in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania.
