Marina Yurieva is an accomplished computational scientist with extensive experience in bioinformatics and developmental biology. Currently serving as an Associate Computational Scientist at The Jackson Laboratory since May 2016, Marina has progressed through roles including Assistant Computational Scientist and Bioinformatics Analyst I and II. Prior experience includes a position as a Science Fact Checker at Science Feedback from November 2020 to December 2022, and a Research Fellow at the Singapore Immunology Network, A*STAR, from November 2013 to May 2016. Marina began their research career as a Predoctorial Researcher at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research from October 2008 to September 2013, focusing on gene expression patterns during hindbrain segmentation. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Developmental Biology and Embryology from The Open University and a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
