Porsha Gordon

Porsha Gordon has a diverse work experience. Porsha started their career as a Receptionist/Youth Ministry Coordinator at New Jerusalem Church in 2011. In this role, they developed faith-based educational programs for K5-5th grade youth, implemented lesson plans, and provided academic and experiential components. Porsha then joined Methodist Children's Home as a Child Care Manager in 2013. Their responsibilities included on-site security and supervision of program operations in two group homes, managing budgets and staff, coordinating volunteers, and maintaining relationships with clients and the community. In 2015, Porsha transitioned to American Fidelity as an Account Manager, where they worked until 2017. Currently, they are a Teacher at Jackson Public Schools, a position they have held since 2017.

Porsha Gordon completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Jackson State University between 2006 and 2008. Porsha then pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Belhaven University from 2019 to 2021. Porsha also has some additional certifications, including one from the Crisis Prevention Institute obtained in March 2014. Porsha also obtained certifications from Mutual Securities, Inc. Member FINRA, SIPC, and the Mississippi Department of Insurance, although the specific dates for these certifications are not provided.
