Randy Wright

Randy Wright serves as the Executive Director of the Division of Media Properties at the University of Florida since April 2010, overseeing various television and radio stations. Additionally, since 2014, Randy has been a Hurricane/Tropical Weather Host for the Florida Public Radio Emergency Network, providing critical emergency information during significant weather events. As a public address announcer, Randy has been involved with Florida Gators football and other athletic events since August 2021, and also serves as the PA/Stadium Announcer for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Previous experience includes serving as General Partner at Wright Communications (2006-2012) and holding multiple leadership roles at KMIZ-TV/KQFX-TV/KZOU-TV/Show-Me Weather Channel from 1996 to 2009, concluding as VP/General Manager. Randy holds both a Master’s degree in Journalism (Media Management) and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
