Materials And Inventory Manager at Jacksonville Transportation Authority

Michael West has extensive work experience in various managerial roles. Michael started their career as a Plant Manager at Nashua Corporation in 1994 and served in this position for 14 years. Michael then worked at CSX Transportation as an Assistant Roadmaster for six months before joining Safariland as a Production Manager. While at Safariland, they managed the cutting area, third shift production, and half of the day shift sewing production. Michael implemented standard work for the cutting process, resulting in a 35% improvement in cutting efficiency. Michael also introduced the Kazan event in the Garment cell to increase production and establish one piece flow. Michael worked at Safariland until 2013 and later joined the Jacksonville Transportation Authority as a Materials and Inventory Manager, where they currently hold a position.

Michael West attended Tusculum University from 2001 to 2004, where they pursued a degree in Business. During their time at the university, their field of study revolved around various aspects of business.
