Ashley O'Toole is an experienced animal care professional with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology from Michigan State University and an Associate of Science in Biology from Mott Community College. Currently serving as a Mammal Keeper I at Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens since August 2020, Ashley specializes in the care of African elephants and Reticulated giraffes. Previous roles include Zookeeper at Busch Gardens, Research Lab Technician at South-East Zoo Alliance for Reproduction & Conservation, and intern at ZooTampa at Lowry Park, alongside experience in teaching and research at Michigan State University. Ashley has also managed a pet-sitting business and has extensive hands-on experience with various species in multiple zoological settings.
