Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens
Leanne White is the Director of Education at Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, a position held since March 2014. In this role, Leanne has demonstrated exceptional strategic leadership by developing and implementing comprehensive plans for both the education and volunteer departments, ensuring safety and engagement for all visitors. Leanne oversees a diverse team of 80 employees and over 500 volunteers, fostering collaboration across departments for the zoo's long-term success. Notably, Leanne has contributed to the development of educational programs for at-risk teens and has actively participated in AZA Accreditation efforts. Prior to this, Leanne served as Education Curator at Greenville Zoo from November 2001 to March 2014. Leanne's educational background includes studies at Southern New Hampshire University and UC San Diego Extended Studies.
