Erik Jones, CISSP CCSFP

Erik Jones, CISSP CCSFP, has over 30 years of experience in the information security field. Erik began their career in 1990 as a UNIX Administrator for Schlumberger Geoquest Data Management Division. In 1992, they moved to Synon as an Operations Specialist. In 1996, they became a Web Developer and Unix Administrator for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. In 1998, they joined DML Associates Inc. as a Senior Engineer and Project Lead. From 2001 to 2002, they were a Post Graduate Researcher at the University of California, Davis. From 2006 to 2008, they were an Electrical Engineer, Project Lead, and Consultant at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. In 2007, they became Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Inflection. In 2012, they joined PreciseQ as Chief Solutions Architect in an advisory role. In 2021, they became the Managing Member of Jones Family Farm and Ranch LLC. Erik currently serves as the CEO of Jacobian Engineering Inc.

Erik Jones, CISSP CCSFP, has an extensive educational background. Erik attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 1996 to 1998, studying Computer Science. From 1999 to 2001, they attended University of California, Davis, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. From 2018 to 2022, they attended Concord Law School at Purdue University Global, where they earned a Doctor of Law degree. Erik is currently attending Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, studying Clinical Nutrition/Nutritionist. Erik also attended Syracuse University from 2020 to 2021, where they earned a Master of Science in Computer Engineering. In addition to their educational background, Erik has obtained four certifications: Certified CSF Practitioner from HITRUST Alliance LLC in 2016, Certified Information Systems Security Professional from (ISC)² in 2015, Amazon Web Services Security Specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2020, and Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect - Professional from Amazon Web Services in 2016.
