Selena Ellis-Vizcarra

Selena Ellis-Vizcarra, MBA has a long and varied work experience. Selena began their career in 1990 as a Coordinator, Grants & Contracts Administration and Grants & Contracts Administrator at SDSU Research Foundation. In 1997, they moved to Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as an Instructional Liaison. Selena then joined LumiSource, LLC in 1999 as a General Manager. In 2002, they became a Consultant at Merck. In 2004, they were a Contracts Manager at Verenium Corporation. From 2011 to 2018, they were at Cellana Inc., serving as a Senior Director, Corporate Development, Director, Corporate Development, and Corporate Development Manager. Since 2018, they have been at Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, where they have held the roles of Senior Vice President of Operations, Director Of Operations, Senior Program Manager, and Compliance & Project Manager.

Selena Ellis-Vizcarra holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics/English from San Diego State University, which they completed between 1987 and 1990. Selena then returned to San Diego State University and earned their MBA in Management between 1991 and 1994.
