Emily Certain

Emily Certain is currently a Lead Instrumentation Engineer for the VIPER Moon Rover Integration & Test at NASA, where they previously served as a Human Spaceflight Mission Concept Design & Development Intern. Emily holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston and has a dual Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University. They have cultivated a rich background in aerospace through roles with NASA, including project management for the Artemis program and the James Webb Space Telescope. Throughout their career, Emily successfully led numerous teams in developing CubeSat payloads and contributed to key projects demonstrating innovative engineering solutions.
