Derek Keifer

Derek Keifer is an accomplished lighting professional with extensive experience in theatrical production. Currently serving as the Lighting Supervisor at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival since October 2018, Derek has also held positions as a Graduate Assistant at Ohio University, where responsibilities included teaching assistance and managing the electrics shop. Previous roles include Assistant Lighting Designer for Toledo Opera and Indiana Repertory Theatre, supporting notable productions such as The Pearl Fishers and Finding Home: Indiana at 200. Additional experience as an Assistant Lighting Designer and co-Master Electrician at Tantrum Theater involved work on multiple productions. Derek holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Theatre from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Music from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania.
