Nikoo Arasteh

Nikoo Arasteh has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Nikoo has held various roles in different companies and organizations. Their most recent position was as the Sr. Director and Head of Quality at Jaguar Health, where they have been working since 2017. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Quality Assurance at Jaguar Health from 2017 to 2019. Nikoo has also been actively involved in the Northern California Institute of Food Technologists (NCIFT), serving as the Past President from 2019 to 2020, President from 2018 to 2019, and President Elect from 2017 to 2018. Nikoo has also held the position of Director At Large at NCIFT from 2015 to 2017. Before joining Jaguar Health and NCIFT, Nikoo founded their own company called YourNextep in 2014 and worked as the Founder until 2017. Prior to that, they held various roles at Genentech and Bayer HealthCare, including being the Global Head of Direct Materials Specification Lifecycle - Biologics at Genentech and serving as a Project Manager, Validation Project Manager, and Raw Materials Manager at Bayer HealthCare. Earlier in their career, Nikoo worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Proliant Inc, where they managed cross-functional projects and developed analytical methods for protein fractionation. Nikoo also worked as a Tenure Faculty Member at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and as an Independent Consultant to the Food Industry. Nikoo started their career as a Lab Manager at Razavi Canning and Cold Storage Co. Overall, Nikoo brings a wealth of experience and expertise in quality, food technology, and project management.

Nikoo Arasteh completed a PhD in Food Science from The University of British Columbia from 1995 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Industrial Management from the School of Industrial Management during the years 1992 to 1994. They also hold a Master's degree in Food Microbiology from the University of Tehran, which was completed from 1990 to 1992. Their Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology was earned at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, with completion by 1984. Additionally, Nikoo Arasteh holds a diploma from Alam High School, completed between 1973 and 1976.
