Donna B. has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Donna began their career as a Med Surg Staff RN for Jamaica Hospital in 1998 and worked in various areas of care. Donna later transitioned to the role of OB/GYN Staff RN, where they provided outpatient care for women. Donna then became a Clinical Nurse Manager, overseeing operations at two different healthcare sites. In 2014, they joined Jamaica Hospital's informatics team as an EpicCare Analyst, utilizing their clinical knowledge to integrate technology into workflows. Donna eventually advanced to the role of Lead EpicCare Ambulatory Analyst, where they led a team of analysts and initiated implementation projects. Donna then served as the Clinical EPIC Application Manager/Ambulatory Lead, overseeing multiple clinical applications. Currently, they hold the position of Informatics Clinical Director ~ Epic, where they manage the Epic system for a large network of hospitals and healthcare centers. Prior to their time at Jamaica Hospital, Donna also worked as a nurse at Women's Health Services @ M.I.C., where they served as a Nurse Clinic Care Coordinator and Staff Nurse.
Donna B. holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Science, which they obtained from City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed an Associate's Degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse at Borough of Manhattan Community College from 1994 to 1997. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as EPIC Inpatient Documentation (ClinDoc) Certified and EPIC AMBULATORY CERTIFIED from Epic, as well as being a Registered Professional Nurse as recognized by the New York State of Professions, which they obtained in August 1998.
