Dave Harshey

Dave joined Scott Insurance in 2007 as a member of the Marketing Group now known as Risk Solutions. He came to Scott with 21 years of experience in the insurance industry, serving in several roles including Underwriter where he gained extensive experience with property and casualty reinsurance, and later serving as Team Leader, Field Underwriter, and District Sales Manager with several regional carriers. He also helped develop the policies, procedures, and expectations for the Field Underwriter position at one of his previous companies.

Dave graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, IN, in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in corporate finance and a minor in Economics. He holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation as well as the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. In the past, Dave served as President and Vice President of the Indiana Underwriters Association and is a member of the Board of Directors for his local CPCU Chapter. Dave has also taught several insurance courses in the past including the INS series and is approved to teach Ethics in the state of Tennessee.
