Elizabeth Oldmixon

Elizabeth Oldmixon is the Vice Provost for Faculty, Curriculum & Policy at James Madison University. Elizabeth has held this position since January 2021.

Prior to their current role, Oldmixon served as the Vice President and Program Chair of the Southern Political Science Association, Inc. from January 2021 to January 2022. Elizabeth also served as the Faculty Director of Academic Policy in the Division of Academic Affairs at the University of North Texas from August 2002 to May 2022.

Oldmixon's professional experience also includes a Congressional Fellowship with the American Political Science Association from September 2001 to July 2002.

Oldmixon earned their Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2001.

Elizabeth Oldmixon has a Master of Business Administration - MBA from the University of North Texas, a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD from the University of Florida, and a Master of Arts - MA from the University of Florida. Elizabeth also has a Bachelor of Arts - BA from Providence College.
