Leslie Pusey

Leslie Pusey is an experienced higher education professional currently serving as the Assistant Director in the Office of Student Awards, Initiatives, and Research at James Madison University since July 2023. Prior to this role, Leslie was the Director of the Office of National Scholarships at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from January 2018 to June 2023, and served as House Director at Alpha Xi Delta from August 2015 to December 2017, managing daily operations for over 40 college women. Additionally, Leslie has a background as Honors Program Coordinator and Academic & Career Advisor at The University of South Dakota, where responsibilities included program planning, student advising, and managing student organizations. Previous experience also includes roles at Alpha Phi International Fraternity, Salisbury University, and Wor-Wic Community College, complemented by a Master's degree in Post-Secondary Education and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Salisbury University. Key accomplishments include achieving a high retention rate among advisees and receiving recognition for outstanding graduate work.
