Hon. Candace Cooper

Hon. Candace Cooper has extensive experience in the legal field, serving as an Arbitrator and Mediator at JAMS since January 2009, after a distinguished career as a Presiding Justice and Associate Justice at the California Court of Appeal from 1999 to 2009. Prior judicial roles include serving as a Judge at both the Los Angeles Superior Court and Los Angeles Municipal Court. Earlier in her career, Candace Cooper worked as an Associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and gained initial legal experience as a Summer Law Clerk at Occidental Petroleum Oil Company and a Summer Associate at Melveny & Myers. Candace Cooper holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Southern California. Educational background includes attendance at Susan Miller Dorsey High School.
