Kara Tanzer

Kara Tanzer is an experienced human resources professional currently serving as the Head of Human Resources at Jane Street since January 2018. Prior to this role, Kara held various positions at Google from January 2007 to January 2018, including TechHR Global People Programs and Human Resources Generalist, where an experimental consulting group was initiated within People Operations for project management support. Earlier experience includes the role of Human Resources Coordinator at The Waldorf Astoria Hotel from August 2004 to January 2007. Kara earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Art History, Criticism and Conservation from New York University between 1998 and 2002, and attended Pingree School from 1994 to 1998.
