Isai L.

Isai L. began their work experience in 2018 as an Engage Scholar at Pinterest, participating in sessions focused on technical and professional development. Isai then became a Teaching Intern at Next Generation Scholars, where they co-taught a curriculum and prepared teaching material for students in grades 5th and 6th. In 2019, Isai held various roles, including being a Sophomore Edge participant at JPMorgan Chase & Co., attending a conference on software engineering. Isai also worked as a Director of Engineering at Next Generation Scholars, fixing bugs and leading engineering team meetings. Additionally, Isai worked as a Graphic Designer and Website Assistant at the University of California, Santa Cruz Sustainability Office, designing promotional materials and improving website code. Isai was also a Fellow at Code2040 and a Software Engineering Intern at Carbon Five. In 2020, Isai returned to Carbon Five as a Software Engineer, building full stack applications and improving design systems. Isai also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at CruzHacks, building front-end designs using React and a secure back-end. In 2021, Isai continued their role as a Software Engineer at Carbon Five, assisting clients with their software development cycle and building features in existing or new applications. Finally, in 2023, Isai became a Full Stack Software Engineer at Jane Technologies, Inc.

Isai L. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained their high school diploma from The Branson School between 2013 and 2017.
