Rudy Escalante has extensive experience in the field of law enforcement and security. Rudy began their career in 1985 as a Police Lieutenant with the Santa Cruz Police Department and served in this role for over 24 years. In 2009, they joined the Watsonville Police Department as Deputy Chief of Police until 2012 when they became the Chief of Police for the City of Capitola, California. As Chief of Police, they were responsible for overseeing a budget of $6.5 million and managing a team of 22 sworn and 11 non-sworn personnel.
