Masaharu Akatsu

Masaharu Akatsu is an experienced executive currently serving as the Executive Officer, Chief Lumada Business Officer, and Group Executive of the Corporate Business Strategy Management Group at Hitachi Systems, Ltd. since April 2021. With a prolific background at Hitachi from 1987 to 2021, Akatsu held various senior roles including CTO and Corporate Chief Engineer, contributing significantly to technology strategy and system development. Additionally, Akatsu has been a Visiting Professor at JAIST since April 2012 and served as a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University in 1996-1997. Akatsu earned a Ph.D. from Osaka University and a B.S. in Mathematical Engineering from The University of Tokyo.
