Emily Murase

Emily Murase currently serves as the Executive Director at Japantown Task Force, Inc., responsible for preserving and promoting San Francisco Japantown. Previously, Emily held roles such as Assistant Director at Stanford University Graduate School of Business and Department Head/Executive Director at San Francisco Department on the Status of Women. Emily also served as a Commissioner on the San Francisco Board of Education, where Emily made significant contributions to education funding and policies. Emily holds a Ph.D. in Communication from Stanford University and has a background in international management and Japanese history.
