Andi Coombes

Andi Coombes believes that thoughtful inquiry is the basis for designing, implementing, and refining high-quality programs that address pertinent challenges. Since completing an MSc in Development Studies at the London School of Economics, Andi has made a career out of conducting qualitative research and working with implementers to use the results to guide their work. Over the past 10 years, she has worked with UNICEF, USAID, DFID, and UNHCR, among others, to evaluate the implementation of development programs related to education, social protection, and livelihoods strengthening in Bangladesh, China, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Kenya, Lebanon, Malawi, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia. Andi is excited to work with the Jara team to help formulate questions that can enable ongoing, adaptive learning.
