Neel Patel

Neel Patel is the current Head of Engineering at jaris. Neel has also previously served as the Head of Data & Infrastructure Engineering at Tally Inc from August 2017 to April 2019. In this role, they were responsible for building and supporting a data platform built on top of Airflow, Spark on EMR, Redshift, Kinesis, and Kafka using both Python and Scala. Neel also led the Infra team that built out a reliable and scalable infrastructure using Terraform, Puppet, and Packer. This infrastructure included EC2, Kinesis, SQS, S3, VPCs, RDS, Redshift, API Gateway, and Kubernetes. In addition to their leadership duties, Neel was also responsible for building the financial reporting services to share data with Tally's investors and partners.

Neel Patel has a B.S in Molecular Biology and Computer Science from UC San Diego.
