Jeet Mahal

Jeet Mahal is the current Chief Financial & Business Officer at Jasper Therapeutics. Prior to this, Jeet spent 11 years in the pharmaceutical industry in various marketing and business development roles. This included a 3-year stint as Vice President Strategic Marketing at Portola Pharmaceuticals from August 2008 to December 2019. Before that, Jeet was with Johnson & Johnson for 2 years as Director, Business and New Product Development, where they were responsible for identifying and assessing partnership/licensing/ M&A opportunities for novel cardiovascular medicines.

Before their time in the pharmaceutical industry, Jeet spent 3 years as a Managing Consultant at Navigant Consulting, where they led multiple life-science consulting projects for clients ranging from start-up biotechnology firms to top 10 global pharmaceutical firms. Jeet has also been involved in venture capital, having worked at the Redleaf Group for 2 years as a Venture Capitalist.

Jeet Mahal received their MBA from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, followed by a Masters in Molecular and Cell Biology from the Illinois Institute of Technology. They then completed a Masters of Engineering in Computer Science from North Carolina State University before finishing their undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.

They work with Wendy Pang - VP, Research & Translational Medicine, Kevin Heller - EVP, Research & Development, and Carol Zoltowski - SVP, Regulatory Affairs & Quality. Their manager is Bill Lis, Executive Chairman & CEO.
