Chris Wilesmith

Chris W. is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various industries, currently serving as the Group CEO and Managing Executive Director of WRE group since January 2021, and as a Non-Executive Director at Penrite Oil since December 2021. Previously, Chris held the position of Group CEO and Managing Director at Jaycar Electronics until February 2024, and served as CEO of Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Limited from July 2019 to June 2021, enhancing its position as one of New Zealand's top retailers. Chris's tenure at Super Retail Group included managing the Auto Division as Managing Director and serving as General Merchandise Manager, contributing to significant retail growth. Earlier experience includes key roles at Toys"R"​Us Australia and Woolworths Group, where Chris was pivotal in driving sales growth at Dick Smith Electronics.
