Sophie Benest

Sophie Benest has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Sophie began their career as an intern at big fish® in 2005, where they worked as a Design Assistant and gained experience in assisting the Creative Director on photo shoots. In 2006, they completed an internship at Redwood BBDO before working as a Chalet Host at Ski Olympic from December 2006 to April 2007. Sophie then returned to Redwood BBDO as a Freelance Designer for a brief period before assuming the role of Designer from August 2007 to August 2012. During this time, Sophie managed multiple projects, including magazine layouts and digital campaigns, and collaborated closely with the Creative Director and New Business department on new concept work. In 2012, they joined Creative Jar as a Creative, working on accounts such as Hilton Hotels and HiPP Organic, designing responsive websites and collaborating with the in-house development team. Sophie was later promoted to Senior Creative in 2014, where they took on additional responsibilities such as leading key campaigns, pitching new work to clients, and mentoring junior team members. Sophie's most recent role is at Jaywing, where they started as a Senior Designer in May 2016 and progressed to the position of Art Director in December 2017. Currently, they hold the role of Lead Content Designer and continues to contribute their expertise to the company.

Sophie Benest has a strong education background in the field of design. Sophie started their education at Ravensbourne University London in 2002, where they obtained a (BTec) Diploma in Foundation in Arts and Design. Sophie then continued their studies at Kingston University from 2003 to 2006, where they earned a BA (hons) degree in Graphic Design.

In addition to their academic achievements, Sophie has also obtained a certification in Emergency First Aid at Work from St John Ambulance in April 2013.
