Lisa Pitchford

Lisa Pitchford is the Scientific Director at JB Ashtin. Lisa has over eight years of experience in scientific research and management. Prior to their current position, Lisa was a Research Scientist at MTI Biotech Inc, where they were responsible for preclinical and clinical study design and management, grant writing and submission, and manuscript/scientific communication writing. Lisa also has experience in analytical assay development and quality system management.

Before joining MTI Biotech Inc, Lisa was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Michigan, where they coordinated several research projects ranging from cell biology to human clinical studies. During their time at the University of Michigan, Lisa developed and implemented new laboratory protocols, trained group members on new procedures, and mentored junior scientists. Lisa also has experience delivering presentations to audiences of various sizes, including national scientific meetings. Additionally, Lisa applied for and was awarded positions on prestigious NIH postdoctoral training grants.

Lisa Pitchford has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Exercise Physiology from Ball State University, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Exercise Science from Ball State University.
